I like Cottage Pie

Cottage Pie I like it because it is good to eat and it is yum to eat. Do you like Cottage Pie
this is how to make it .

1kg floury potatoes, such as Maris Piper, peeled
150g butter
Knob of beef dripping (optional)
2 onions, chopped
2 carrots, diced
2 sticks celery, diced
1 tsp dried thyme
600g shin of beef, chopped into small pieces
350ml good quality beef stock
1 tsp cornflour
Worcestershire sauce

1. Pre-heat the oven to 180C. Cut your potatoes into evenly sized chunks, and put in a large pan of cold, salted water. Bring to the boil and simmer until tender.

2. Meanwhile, heat the dripping, if you have any left over from your last roast, or butter in a pan over a moderate heat, then add the vegetables. Soften, but do not brown.

3. Add the thyme, and then the beef. Brown it all over, and then add half the stock. Whisk the other half with the cornflour, and then stir into the meat mixture. Add a generous dash of Worcestershire sauce and allow to simmer on a low heat for 15 minutes.

4. Drain the potatoes and mash with a generous slab of butter. Season to taste.

5. Taste and season the meat, adding more Worcestershire sauce if necessary. If it looks dry, pour in a little water.

6. Put the meat into a large baking dish and top with the potato. For a nice crispy top, I like to add it in lumps, or you can run a fork over the top if you prefer. Dot with small pieces of butter.

7. Put into the oven for about 40 minutes, until the potato is crisp and slightly brown, then serve.

Olympic Games Day

At Pt England school we had a olympic day .We had sports  like the olympic games it was fun. There was a lot of cool game we even had sat down volleyball and handball ,touch, foursquare and more


I Like all of the sports and my favorites was handball I like it so much. But it was not fair when we had to play the year 7 and 8. I want like to do olympic games day again and I will love to play handball .


If I had to pick one of the sports I will pick handball. It was cool I was in Brazil we had to wear the colors .

Made Up Story By Cheyanne

One day I went to the Point England beach with my friend,Alex, Katy and my Mum. After, We decided to have a swim. But to be on the safe side we swam where my mum could see us Than she look away.

My Mum Looked away and something happened. Alex got pushed off A rock by Katy, and got badly hurt on the rock. When My Mum looked back she said “where is Alex”, but instead of telling the truth I said “ he walked home”.

Mum said, “Why did you let Alex go I am looking after him”. “If something happens when he is walking home what am I going to do”. Alex’s mum and dad are going to be very upset.


I Told My Mum that Alex was badly hurt. He is there my Mum ran to Alex.He is badly hurt who did it Katy I said how did she do it I said she pushed him off the rock. My Mum called Alex's is Mum and Dad to come he went to the hospital and he is all right now.

Farewell to you Miss Verry

Hello my name is Cheyanne and today we had a theater leave  our school and some theater was crying .Miss Verry was crying too we will miss you she is so kind and funning I hope she will come back to our school Bye Miss Verry we all love you and we will miss you we all wish you  luck  and hope you are going to be happy Farewell to you Miss Verry .

Hello my name is Cheyanne and on tuesday at assemble we had a special guest  come to our school guest who came to our school? if you guest Jo Holley you are right.

On the 11th of september Jo Holley came to our school she said that she went around the round
the bout 5 time wow .  She is from Gisborne and she is really pretty.

We sing 6 snog and we had visitors  and they names was Ron, and Auston. The two visitors were from the Bucklands Beach Lions Club. These special people helped give out the books.

Taamai went to get room 17’s box of books. At assemble she talk and talk to us she was on movie and tv. I want to see some of her movies or on TV. I think it was great to have her come to our school THANK YOU FOR COMING TO OUR SCHOOL JO

In the weekends It was so boring

In the weekends it was so boring I want to go out but on a sunday we go to church.

In the weekends it was so boring all I did was on my netbook  playing game. And go to church  it was so  boring  and I want to go to the toilet in church. It was time to take the bead and whin.

I got up to take  the bead and whin. Now I can take the bead and whin because I had my First Holy Communion at church. And then I came and sat down and the father did a pray out loud and then we left the church and went home .
